He earned the degree of MBBS in 1974 and MS in Orthopedics from Grant Medical Coll. in 1978. He has a fellowship in Orthopedics from the Coll. of Physicians and Surgeons Mumbai in 1978. He has authored over 43 research publications in national and international journals.
