Dr. Karthik Rao is a highly skilled and leading Urologist. With more than 20 years of extensive surgical professional experience, he focuses on Endourology, Uro-oncology and Reconstructive Urology. He is widely recognized as an an expert in kidney stone surgery, with a track record of over 500 procedures, encompassing PCNL (Standard/Mini) and RIRS. In laser surgery of the prostate, he has successfully completed over 300 procedures, showcasing his proficiency in this area. Dr. Rao also boasts extensive professional experience in reconstructive surgeries of the urogenital tract, demonstrating his skill in addressing complex urological issues. Furthermore, he has served as involved in over 100 kidney transplants, further underscoring his expertise and contribution to urological care. Dr. Karthik completed his MBBS from Manipal Coll. of Medical Sciences in 2004. He completed his MS General Surgery at Father Muller Medical Coll., Mangalore, where he graduated at the top of his class. Subsequently, he pursued his M.Ch Urology from Kilpauk Medical Coll., Chennai, and cleared DNB Urology in his first attempt. Dr. Rao focuses on kidney stone surgery, including PCNL (Standard/Mini/Supine) and RIRS, as well as Laser surgery of the Prostate. He is certified as a Robotic console surgeon on the Davinci Xi platform, conducting various Uro-Oncological procedures independently, such as Robotic Radical Prostatectomy, Radical and Partial nephrectomy, and Radical cystectomy.
