About Dr. Bijoy Nayak

Dr. Bijoy Kumar Nayak is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynecologist with an extensive career spanning 33 years. His expertise lies in managing conditions such as Pelvic inflammatory diseases, Ovarian cysts or tumors, Uterine fibroids, etc. His notable achievements include conducting over 75,000 tubal ligations in over a hundred laparoscopic camps in 2013. Dr. Nayak pioneered gynecological laparoscopic surgery in Odisha, introducing the technique in 1990. In 2013, he was honored and commended by the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, for his research on the degrees of adhesion through laparoscopic BTL surgeries in over 1000 cases. He obtained his MBBS from Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical Coll., Cuttack, in 1981, followed by a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Università degli Studi di Milano in 1987. He also completed his MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Robotic Surgery from Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical Coll., Cuttack, in 1992. Dr. Nayak holds life memberships in the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE), the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Society of India (FOGSI), the International Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy, and the International Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ISGE).
