With 27 years of clinical, managerial, and teaching professional experience behind him, Dr. Gaurav Prakash Bhardwaj, a Sports, and Joint Replacement Surgeon has held significant positions across reputed hospitals in Britain and India. His expertise, backed by his advanced & modern overseas advanced training, includes Complex and revision Joint Replacements and Arthroscopic procedures on the shoulder, knee, elbow, and hips, along with complex trauma. His special interest is in complex/ redo joint replacement and Sports surgeries. Dr Bhardwaj is credited with being among the first in India to perform several sports and shoulder surgeries within one year of working in India starting in 2013. After completing his MBBS, he also achieved an MS (Orthopedics) from Maharshi Dayanand Univ., Rohtak, 2000, and an MCh. His other educational qualifications include FRCS (Ortho & Trauma) from the Royal Coll. of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, 2004, FRCP (UK), and MRCS (Edinburgh) AFRCS (Ireland), Royal Coll. of Surgeons of Edinburgh, 2009 Apart from being a full-time faculty member, he was also associated with the North Middlesex Univ. Hosp. in London. He has practiced Orthopedic surgery as a Senior Orthopaedics Surgeon at the Univ. Hosp., London, for many years. Before settling in London in 2004, Dr Bhardwaj had worked in famous hospitals like Pilgrim Hosp. in Boston, Lincoln County Hosp., and Nottinghamshire. Dr. Bhardwaj has spent over ten years practicing in the UK and has rich professional experience in doing thousands of successful joint replacements and orthopedic surgeries in the UK and India. He established the Inst. of Orthopedics and Joint Replacement and worked for over three years as Unit Head and Senior Consultant at Max Smart Super Speciality Hosp., Saket. He has treated the most elite commandos and top sportspeople, helping them return to their fields. Dr. Bhardwaj is on a panel of doctors who look after top Olympians of the Olympic Gold Quest team. He is an esteemed part of the Royal Coll. of Surgeons, Edinburgh, the Royal Coll. of Surgeons, Ireland; a fellow of the intercollegiate Royal Coll. of Surgeon, UK; the Sports & Shoulder Surgery, London; the Complex & Revision Joint Replacement, London, and the Indian Orthopaedics Association.
