After this, he completed his DM in Gastroenterology from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1999. He is an active part of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and the Society of Gastroenterology Endoscopy of India. He was honored with the title of 'Top Young Investigator' during the ISKCON 2020, the yearly convention of the Indian Society of Gastroenterologists, which took place in Pune.
