Dr. Sanjeev Gulati is a Kidney Transplant Surgeon with more than 39 years of professional experience. His expertise lies in managing kidney transplants and children with renal diseases. He played a crucial role in the Dialysis and Transplant program at SGPGI, Lucknow (one of the largest programs in the country). He completed his MBBS from the Univ. of Delhi in 1985, MD (Pediatrics) from PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 1989, and DNB (Pediatrics) from the DNB Board, New Delhi, in 1991. He also has a fellowship in FRCPC (Canada), FIPN (Australia), and FIAP. Dr. Gulati is the Principal Director in the Department of Nephrology & Kidney Transplant at 28 Hosp. and was previously working as an Additional Professor (Nephrology) at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Inst. of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. He has also worked as an Associate Professor (Pediatric Nephrology) at McMaster Univ., Hamilton, Canada. He has served at leading hospitals in the UK, Australia, and Canada. He has presented publications at different national and international conferences and has published over 130 scientific articles in indexed journals, including Kidney International, NEJM, and the American Journal of Kidney Diseases. Dr. Gulati has authored 20 chapters in various textbooks, including the highly regarded Oxford Textbook of Nephrology and comprehensive Pediatric Nephrology, as well as delivered numerous guest lectures. He is the author of a book on Childhood Renal Diseases. He has received accolades for his original contributions to the field of kidney diseases. He received recognition from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the Indian Society of Nephrology, the Royal Coll. of Pediatrics and Child Health UK Royal Coll. of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Australian Coll. of Pediatrics, the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, and the Japanese Society of Nephrology for his outstanding work. He is a part of the Governing Body of the Indian Society of Nephrology and the Vice President of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation. He is also a reviewer for several prestigious journals like the American Journal of Kidney Diseases, Pediatrics, Pediatric Nephrology, and Indian Pediatrics and has had other editorial responsibilities. He has written several articles in newspapers and magazines to create public awareness about kidney-related issues.
