Dr. Shakti Bhan Khanna is a highly esteemed Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with an impressive career spanning 60 years. Her expertise encompasses various fields of gynecology, including Gynae-oncology, Gynae endocrinology, infertility, high-risk pregnancies, and pelvic reconstructive surgery. She pioneered the surgical technique known as 'Khanna's Sling Operation' for Vault Prolapse, which has garnered significant success. She has served as honored with the Lifetime Achievement accolade by the Honorable Health Minister Shri. Gulam Navi Azad. Dr. Khanna has served as recognized at the Second International Conference of Gynae Plastic Surgeons held in Amritsar and by the Kashmiri Samiti, Delhi. She received the Maa Sharika Samman 2007 from the Kashmiri Sewak Samaj in Medicine and Healthcare. She delivered the Annual Oration on "Fetal Origin of Adult Diseases" at the 26th Annual Conference of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi in October 2004. She also delivered the Achanta Lakshmi Puri Oration for the year 2005-2006 for the National Academy of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad. Dr. Khanna completed her MBBS from the Univ. of Jammu and Kashmir in 1964 and her MD from the Univ. of Delhi in 1969. She holds fellowships from WHO, FICOG, FICMCH, NAMS Minimal Access Surgery WALS, AMS Delhi, and others. She received the WHO Intra-country fellowship in 1982 and holds memberships in various societies, including FOGSI, AOGD, NARCHI, FOGI, IMS, and others. She has served as the Academic Co-ordinator from 1995 to 1997 and 2002 to 2005 and as the Clinical Co-ordinator from 2000 to 2002 and from 2008 to the present. Dr. Khanna has served as actively involved in numerous executive committees and served as Secretary for the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Srinagar from 1980-1990, among other roles.Education
