About Dr. Shivanshu Raj Goyal
Dr. S. R. Goyal is a widely experienced professional specializing in Respiratory Medicine, Tuberculosis, Immunology, Sleep Medicine, and Critical Care. With more than 16 years of professional experience, he aspires to establish a successful and sustainable Lung Transplantation Programme in collaboration with the Thoracic Surgery team, benefiting individuals with end-stage lung diseases like Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Interstitial lung disease (ILD) and Bronchiectasis. After completing his MBBS from Dr. NTR Univ. of Health Sciences Andhra Pradesh 2008, he also achieved an MD (Pulmonary Medicine) from SRM Medical Coll. Hosp. & Research Centre, SRM Univ., Chennai, India, 2014, and DNB (TB & Respiratory Diseases), National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, 2016. His academic contributions include presentations at various national and international forums, such as NAPCON, TESCON, PULMOCON, ICONIC, Indian Science Congress (ISC), and European Respiratory Society World Congress (ERS). Dr. Goyal received specialized advanced training in Bronchial Thermoplasty and Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction at the National Univ. Hosp. (NUH), Singapore, under the guidance of Prof. Pyng Lee. He is skilled in Rigid Bronchoscopy & Thoracoscopy, having undergone advanced training under Dr. David Breen from Ireland in 2014. He participated in an advanced Interventional Pulmonology cum Thoracic Ultrasonography workshop at ERS, Munich, Germany, acquiring skills in EndoBronchial Ultrasound (EBUS - Linear & Radial Probe) and EndoBronchial Stent placement. Dr. Goyal was also a certified BLS-ACLS service provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) in 2017.
