About Dr. Sumeet Shah
Dr. Sumeet Shah is a General, Laparoscopic, and Bariatric Surgeon with more than 22 years of professional experience. He completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical Coll., New Delhi, in 1993, MS (General Surgery) from the Univ. of Rajasthan, Jaipur, in 1998, and DNB (General Surgery) from the National Board of Examination, New Delhi, in 2000. He has also completed advanced advanced training in gastrointestinal surgery from AIIMS, New Delhi, a post-doctoral fellowship in minimal access surgery, and has received advanced training in metabolic and bariatric surgery. He has also been awarded an Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship in Bariatric and hernia Surgery. Dr. Shah has served as associated as a Senior Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon at many prestigious hospitals in Delhi. He is an Executive Committee part of the Obesity Surgery Society of India (OSSI) & has performed live Surgery and trained many upcoming surgeons in the field of Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery.” He is an esteemed part of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons (IAGES), National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS), EC part of Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society of India (OSSI), Asia Pacific Hernia Society (APHS), EC part of Hernia Society of India (HSI), Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Faculty at Ethicon Inst. of Surgical Education (EISE), and Faculty at Centre of Excellence for Minimal Access Surgery advanced training (CEMAST), Karl Storz, Mumbai, India. He is a a fellow of the Indian Association of Gastro-Intestinal Endosurgeons (FIAGES). Dr. Shah has served as invited as faculty/expert at over 100 national/international laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon meetings. He has several presentations to his credit and has presented over 50 invited publications at various specialist meetings.
