Dr. Vidyadhar S. Lad is a well?recognized Cardiac Surgeon with more than 30 years of professional experience. He has performed over 13,000 surgical procedures, which include 8,000+ CABGs and 5,000+ other cardiac procedures such as valve replacement. His surgical practice focuses on procedures such as maze surgery, aortic aneurysm surgery, coronary bypass surgery, complex valve surgery, surgery for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, and surgery for cardiac tumors. He has a high success rate in performing heart valve replacement and repair surgeries, corrective surgery for complex aortic dissection cases, and redo heart operations. Dr. Vidyadhar received his MBBS degree from Seth G.S. Medical Coll., Mumbai, in 1994 and his MS in General Surgery from Tata Memorial Hosp. in 1997. He earned FRCS from the Royal Coll. of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, in 1998. Later, he obtained an MCh and DNB in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from KEM Hosp. (Mumbai) and the National Board of Examinations (New Delhi), respectively. Dr. Vidyadhar has also done a fellowship in complex heart surgeries at the National Heart Center, Singapore. He went to Canada to further improve his cardiovascular surgery skills and received a fellowship in complex heart surgeries from Toronto General Hosp. and Ottawa Heart Hosp.. Dr. Vidyadhar has authored numerous high-impact journal publications and presented scientific publications at national and international conferences. He has delivered around 300 talks on heart disease and is actively involved in clinical research on various aspects of it.
