After this, he completed MPH and PhD in Preventive Medicine at Johns Hopkins Univ. in 1978. Further, he did his residency in Neurology at the Univ. of Illinois, Chicago, USA, in 1983. He is a part of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Coll. of Epidemiology, the International Epidemiology Association, the World Federation of Neurology, and the International Psychogeriatric Association.
